Governance
Standards applied before any mandate begins.
Confidentiality, integrity and diligence are conditions of engagement, not afterthoughts.
All mandates are subject to preliminary review, due diligence, contract and applicable law. Acceptance is at the discretion of the firm.
Confidentiality
Information received in connection with an enquiry is treated as confidential and shared only where necessary and appropriate.
Counterparty Integrity
Counterparties are assessed for standing, authority and integrity before any engagement proceeds.
Due Diligence
Each mandate is subject to proportionate diligence on the asset, structure, documentation and parties involved.
Conflict Management
Potential conflicts of interest are identified, disclosed where appropriate and managed before a mandate is accepted.
AML Principles
The firm applies anti-money-laundering principles and expects counterparties to meet equivalent standards.
Sanctions Awareness
Counterparties, jurisdictions and flows are considered against applicable sanctions regimes.
Beneficial Ownership
Ultimate beneficial owners and controlling persons are identified where relevant to a mandate.
Source of Funds
Evidence of the origin of funds and assets is requested as part of mandate review.
Document Integrity
Documents are reviewed for authenticity, consistency and completeness. Unverifiable materials are not relied upon.
External Professional Advisers
Independent legal, tax, regulatory and technical advisers are engaged where specialist expertise is required.
Mandate Acceptance
Acceptance is discretionary and follows preliminary review. Scale alone does not determine acceptance.
